    Jeremy Morris is a solo Christian rock musician from Kalamazoo, Michigan, whose recording career began in the late 1970s and continued through JAM Records, the label he established in 1984. He writes, sings, and plays most of the instruments himself; Dave Dietrich supplied some drumming and percussion on the early recordings. The music joins Beatles and John Lennon melodies to hard-rock guitar, space-rock keyboards, and an old-fashioned pop sense. Alive, the 1984 debut, has thin period production and organ-led arrangements, while Open Your Heart moves toward harder guitar without becoming metal. By Invisible in 1990, the songs are mostly mainstream pop-rock, with airy Lennon-like vocals over plodding rhythms, soft keyboards, and occasional heavier guitar. His Christian themes range from direct devotion to implied faith.

    In 2004, Morris released King of Kings, a 32-track collection connecting his Christian songwriting to the Beatles, Byrds, and Big Star vocabulary present in the earlier records. By 2005 he was running JAM Recordings and teaching music while continuing to issue albums independently. His output later expanded under the names Jeremy, the Jeremy Band, and the Lemon Clocks, with work moving among power pop, progressive rock, psychedelia, and instrumental music. He also made collaborative records with Guillermo Cazenave and participated in a 2005 tribute album assembled by other artists.
