Face it, rapcore is a fad and it's starting(?) to get old. All the more reason to make sure you're pulling it off right. 38th Parallel does it right - nice 'n' heavy, with the dynamics of layered guitars and beautiful BGVs (think PAX217 at times) and wall of sound metal onslaughts with the entire rhythm section in total sync. The vocals are shared by the duo of Mark Jennings and Nathan Rippke. While they don't exactly sound urban, I enjoy listening. The fat rhythm section, however, is what makes the band a choice.
