Abhor Evil
Wisconsin Tapes
Reviewed by Doug Van Pelt
The guys from Abhor Evil are back with more fun, moshin' music (the Christian version of Anthrax?), yet this tape will keep their hot tunes from being enjoyed by anyone over the radio, because the sound quality is so muddy. Tunes like "Mahalath" and "Dirty, Rotten, Stinky, Filthy Death" beg to be heard via killer sonics. These songs show real fun and hipness, yet I really want to hear it, not just sort of decipher the groove. Know what I mean? I don't wanna scare you away from these top-notch tunes. Nobody should miss out on "Age of Aquariums" and "Neural Enema." If you can't guess already, the lyrics are as fun as the music. These guys won't go away--hopefully. They've got tons-o-fun to offer. The band plans to remaster the tape before it's officially released, so you may feast upon better sonics. For ordering info, write: Jim Ellis, 206 S. Platten #3, Green Bay WI 54303.
