Adam Again's third release is their second-most danceable album. "In a New World of Time" was dance-groove mania; "10 Songs" was mega-esoteric; and "Homeboys" strikes a middle chord between the two. There's plenty of wailing sax and droning vocals to thrill the college radio crowd, but I really miss the ten-mile deep grooves they cut on their debut album. I had heard hype and read reviews that said this one was a big dance generator, but I was disappointed. Lyrically, a common thread of life in the inner city of Los Angeles is woven through. The sorrow of writer's pen is reflected in the music with minor chords. Besides my disappointment due to my previous expectations, let me say that this is a very good, creative album.
