Let's face it. One of the best mosh hardcore bands ever was Floorpunch. Just with the name itself, they take one of the top places. Now a few years later, three of the former members of Floorpunch, including lead singer Mark Porter, are all back with a new band, Anger Regiment. Don't expect to hear Floorpunch part II or anything like that. They play a style of hardcore that is very much Burn/NYC inspired.
This eight song EP is just lacking. I was never a real huge fan of Burn. I liked some of their songs but I never really got into the style. I am a pretty big fan of a lot of hardcore that came out of NYC but I really can't dive into this album with any excitement. It's not very aggressive and I don't find them setting themselves apart and above their peers. If you are a Floorpunch fan, you might find yourself in a disappointed state. If you are a Burn/NYC fan, you will wear a smile.
