Arthur is a side-project of MxPx reportedly created to be an outlet for songs that Mike Herrera wrote and felt did not fit into MxPx, although he has indicated that he is now writing songs specifically intended for Arthur. The song-writing approach for his Arthur songs is not all that different from his MxPx songs, just a little slowed down and spiced up with some 'emo' flair, at least on the 6-song EP, Loneliness is Bliss (Rock City Recordings), released about a year or so ago. Things could take on a more unique feel for the full-length that they say is tentatively planned for a 2001 release. They also plan to tour Arthur in 2001, primarily in the Pacific Northwest, but a North American tour is being considered.
