This competent band seems to have graduated from the Van Halen school of hard rock. "Old Man Goin' Down" starts off this 6-song tape with a big rock beat and some feisty Van Halen-ish hammer-ons. The band has attitude and skill--a deadly combination. The slower tunes, like "Lost In The City", retain a sassy R&B feel like Skid Row or Aerosmith. This band has shown very impressive growth since its past demo efforts. "Take Me Back" has a good crunch back beat and a growly Glenn Kaiser-type vocal deliver. Lyrically it talks about the goodness of God, which "nothing else could compare." "Break Away" seems kind of adolescent in its chord and melody structure, but the strength of the other tunes carry its dead weight. For ordering info, write: Rt. 2, Box 240, Clinton KY 42031.
