I remember a few years ago, when Doug did the "Illinois Noise" issue. Well, I think he needs to do a "Florida Noise" issue, because recently I've been doing quite a few reviews of bands from the Sunshine State. Here's another from that genre. Azzan has put together a seven-song demo of well-structured songs. All of them, except for Morning Star, are of the typical metal vein, but don't let that turn you off. They are good. Matthew's Revelation and Glory To The King show off the harder edge of this band, but I was most surprised by Morning Star. It started soft, and slowly picked up a pace while staying mellow. It was a refreshing song that helped me remember that metal bands are more talented than people give them credit for. Great effort. Florida is really showing that they really have great music, and Azzan is another example of it.
