Having formed in 2005 and being together as a band for less than a year, Blood On The Tracks is making a lot of noise. This 3-piece band from Santa Clara, CA. have already toured extensively up and down the West Coast. Building on that support, the band has released its first cd E.P., and it's a good thing they did.

Citing bands like Jimmy Eat World, Mars Volta, and Muse as influences, BOTT comes at you with 6 songs that are strong, and probably the truest form on 'indie rock' I've heard this year. With strong guitar parts, and a solid rhythm with the bass and drumming, the band takes what they have as a 3-piece and turn it into a full sounding E.P. that is set to put them on the map. While spinning through all the obvious indie-type influences, the band also successfully mixes those influences with some underlying Brit-rock influences as well, ala Franz Ferdinand. The only difference is, they do it better. This E.P. is extremely strong from start to finish. The only real problem with it is that it is only 6 songs, and just a little over twenty minutes long.

One can only hope that the success of the band thusfar will continue, and that they will be able to continue producing strong-sounding indie rock for years to come.
