Get your knee pads and helmets out of the closet and get ready to make your best run around the circle pit. This band is all about skating, playing fast aggressive music, having fun and calling people out on their flaws. This is skate punk at its best. Carpenter Ant is from my home area of the Lehigh Valley and they are kicking new life back into a dormant scene. They put on an amazingly energetic show with their lead singer, Roy Carnage, decked out in skate accessories and an old school 80's skate board transformed with some duct tape into a microphone.
I Still Have The Drive is just a great punk album. I don't even skate but I found it quite entertaining to hear all about the skate scene and just to have fun with it. Twelve tracks of mayhem.
