First criticism aside: someone needs to tell these guys that The Basics of Life has already been taken for an album title by contemporary favorites, 4Him. Musically we have some good ol' CCM friendly tunes that sound like Stephen Curtis Chapman with a little more guitar and some electronic experimentation. While excellent music abilities shine through, the music on this CD would probably fall too far on the Nashville side of the sonic spectrum for most of HM's readers.
