Here's some more rousing punk with fast-paced, urgent preaching at the top of Spike Nard's lungs--and righteous preaching it is. Crashdog expounds on the value-less virtues of American yuppie society, with its focus of getting ahead and accumulating worldly goods. The cover art says it all. Musically, it's influenced by REZ, more so than the "Humane Society" album. There's lots of melodic jamming, like in "Who?" a la the non-feedbacking Jimi Hendrix. There's plenty of grunge sound. Some of the early British punk is reflected here, yet the hate-filled anger of those secular bands is missing here (wonder why?). I kinda like "Humane Society" better, but this album ain't wimpy at all.
