I've tried to think of another comparison for some time now, but every time I listen to this tape it always comes to mind. The comparison I am referring to is old Black Sabbath. I don't consider this bad in anyway what-so-ever. It's not that they sound like old Black Sabbath, but some of the songs tend to have portions that really get the feel of songs like Black Sabbath, and NIB.

Elysium has produced this 8 song tape entitled Ever in Our Sorrows which the title alone seems to exemplify the sound of the music within very well. Playing a beautiful style of black meets doom metal, these guys have something really good to offer all fans of heavy music.

This is a high quality production that needs very little adjustments on your equalizer to sound perfect. It's generally slow, thick, and super heavy. The vocals tend to change up within the songs going from a low sung voice to a deep death styled growl.

Lyrically Elysium has some stunning work done here. They also included a tract with their tape. I'm no fan of tracts because I have read too many that were just plain stupid. In fact I almost didn't read theirs either, but it starts out with the sentence, "In case you hadn't noticed this world has become a garbage dump." Well that kind of got my attention. They don't shove Christianity down your throat here either. This is well written and will most likely be highly successful.

In the end if you are a doom/black metal fan be sure not to miss out on this tape. It's only $8.00 US, and that includes the postage. To order write to:
