Very worshipful, acoustic-driven, midwestern modern rock. Superb production, with lots of cool textures, thanks to clean-tone guitar fills, drums AND percussion, and nice bass tones. One song begins sounding almost like it was off Poor Old Lu's Straight Six, another almost like Mike Knott's Strip Cycle, and yet another almost like old Violet Burning. This album is like that; the band is almost really good. They don't quite have the uniqueness, the talent, or the ability to inspire that the aforementioned heavyweights do, but this is still a very decent effort that's worth checking out.
