Fall Out Boy is from Illinois and this is their first release with Fueled By Ramen.

F.O.B. is another name in a long list of very similarly sounding bands. I know that's a criticism given to many blocks of bands, but with the glut of emotional punk bands that is proliferating at an astounding rate, you'd think someone would want to try new things or find a new direction within the uniform sound. Albeit, F.O.B. has a bit more of an edge than some of their peers, but they are just repeating what's already been done a hundred times. There are some good guitar parts throughout the album and some decent song writing, but the vocal style is a carbon copy of at least a half-dozen bands I can think of off the top of my head. I hear potential buried here somewhere but Fall Out Boy just needs to follow their own path.
