Ska band Five Iron Frenzy was the first group to take to the stage at this year's Cornerstone Festival where they went from virtual unknowns to the rage of the fest by the end of their first song. If you think that Tooth and Nail's rude boys the Supertones are neat, then Five Iron Frenzy will blow you away. They've already inked a deal with 5 Minute Walk Records that will put their debut record in stores in just a few weeks. But if you want a sneak peek at what this exciting young group has to offer, they've got a couple of undie projects available to whet your appetite.
First is a 7" EP called "It's Funny, But Not Very Creative," that features a couple of original tunes and a skanktified version of Amy Grant's "Everywhere I Go." FIF also has two songs on the Green Manna sampler of Denver area bands. "Third World Think Tank" is also on the 7". "Cool Enough" is not. Both items are sure to be collectible once this group hits the big time.

Garlic Press #4Reviewed by cyanideAlthough Five Iron Frenzy has recently signed to 5 Minute Walk Records, the Denver-based ska-core band is definitely not an unknown, having shared the stage with other popular ska bands including Less Than Jake and Mephiskapheles. Those who've caught 5FE's live shows in the past or at the ska explosion at Cornerstone '96 will be glad to hear some of their energy captured on the 7" EP It's…Similar sounding releases
