From Australia comes a very young, but very talented band called Fleshwalker (not the ones from Canada reviewed in HM #31). Young indeed--guitarist Rohan Edwards and drummer Matthew Aitchison are only 16, while the "old" man of the band, bassist Alan Treguning, is only 20. The second surprise is the fact that all three members just started playing their instruments since the beginning of '91. Their music is self-described as "groovy grindcore." Their six-song demo was recorded live while opening for Mortification in October. There are two singers in this band, one who sounds like Steve Rowe, the other like Roger Martinez. The music is very good, high speed riffing and double bass mama that is typical of thrash. This band is hot! Get this tape before it is no longer available.
