Fortress displays some skilled instrumental skills, especially the guitar on "Tell Me", yet the production and lack of groove keep this tape in the underground Metal classification for a reason. The band incorporates some very good ideas, like the subtle breakdowns in "Battle For You". With a little work from a good coach/producer, this band could create some noteworthy material.
