Here's a clean secular album by a band of Christians. All these musicians have played on Christian albums or with Christian acts on the road. You can take a look at Whiteheart's first album cover and see brothers David and Dann Huff with haircuts that would make their mother proud...and now they have long hair and wear leather pants. Since those days, guitarist Dann Huff has become the sessions man, playing all the hot leads on Matthew Ward's Armed and Dangerous album and the multi-platinum Whitesnake album. Song titles like "I'm a Believer" may lead one to think, "Ah-ha! There must be a lot of spiritual overtones on this album." Not so. "Girl, I believe in you." Musically, it is absolutely brilliant. This is what Foreigner should've been doing in their heyday. It's commercial hook mania with killer guitar licks all over it. These guys give us a bargain, too: You won't see any three-minute songs here. They're all at least four minutes. There are more lyrics here than meets the ear, though: "We're the last of the runaways/ We'll never return, 'till love takes us home." - "Innocent Days". "I can hear the angel's voices/ Trying to whisper my name..." - "I Can't Get Close Enough". I don't find anything on here that would cause one to stumble. If you wonder whether or not to get it, ask God. He loves to talk to His children and something as small as an album purchase isn't too insignificant for Him.
