Some people are hard to see. Not because there is anything physically transparent about them, but if you look at them they don't leave any kind of impression. Most people stir you to either a positive or negative reaction internally. These people that are hard to see can be looked at directly, you can say they are pretty, but it's just brain knowledge saying that and not something that resonates within your soul. If you look away, you wouldn't be able to say really what they looked like.
This same phenomenon manifests itself in "'Til the Medicine Takes." Listening to the album fails stir anything, negative or positive, in any way. Unlike most punk rock CDs Grey Goose doesn't inspire a horrific reaction, yet nothing sticks out as being worthy of hitting the play button, either.
The music is fairly simple. Your average teen guitar player who knows how to use bar-chords could pick up the songs with no problem. The vocals are similar to Dogwood's, without the captivating quality that Dogwood possesses. In fact, throughout the entire duration of the CD each song feels like it could feed into one of Dogwood's choruses. That, ironically, would have been a lot more satisfying if they had.
Then after the album has run it's course, this CD fades from mind. It's like waking up from getting your wisdom teeth removed. You remember the doctor smiling at you and turning on the gas, then all of a sudden you are conscious, you have holes in your gums, and it was like snapping your fingers. Nothing to see or remember and nobody cares.
