If you are a person that likes some of the current crop of "edgy" bands, you probably would like this CD. A Perfect Way to Say Goodbye fits in with the label of Emo Hardcore. Take the heaviness and bashing around of hardcore, then add in a bit of melodic and a slight bit of indie, screamo, and emo and a person would find that mix on this CD. Vocally someone will hear a lot of clean straight up vocals with a drop of whine, then mix in screams, growls, etc.
The lyrical content is seemingly searching for something more, while at the same time singing about suffering, being shut out, and hint of backstabbing. While not a Christian band, the lyrical content here may not seem positive, yet it is a bit more than some Christian bands of this vein.
