The long-awaited act 2 of the most famous band in White Metal (on the FM side, let us make that clear from the outset). "Tough Love" it is called... My dictionary told me it means something like "Amour Coriace". Tough, yes!! I saw them in concert recently (in West Germany), it is properly nailed on stage as in the studio, the big sound, you know! And love, it starts nicely with these few words: "Are you ready? / You're not the only one / Everybody is waiting to see the show / Just a little bit of music / Turn on the lights / Clap your hands, we're going to sing all night!" ("Just Believe It") Yeah!! IDLE CURE, for those who may not know, is three people on vocals-guitar-synths, accompanied in concert by a drummer and a "stand-in" saxophonist. The absence of a bassist, on stage, does not get noticed too much, given that the guy on keyboards delivers like mad. One cannot say for all that that this is a "synthetic" band (nor cotton, for that matter!). The guitar all the same holds a predominant role, above all in the tracks composed by the "guitar man" (well, fancy that!), which are also the most hard. There are four of them among the nine tracks this album contains. The solos on them are very four-square, a treat, and on top of that, he moves well! We had already noticed the quality of the vocals on the first LP. It is very high, very strong, with perfect mastery, class, you know!! To come back to the lyrics, it is frank, simple, honest... Less bludgeoning (a blow with a club) than certain others in White Metal, without being sentimental for all that. This tough love calls to life, to combat... "You know the answer / So let it shine / On the front line / On the cutting edge / God will help us carry it / It won't be long now" (The Frontline). In short, an album to be recommended at all costs to all fans of BonJovi, Dokken and other such famous names!!!

Heaven's Metal #18Reviewed by Doug Van PeltThe new Idle Cure album...are we gonna hear some more songs like "Breakaway"? Not this time. Instead we have a plush, full sound similar to Whiteheart's "Emergency Broadcast". There's layer upon layer of textured harmonies here, sometimes as huge and ominous as the entire rhythm section, identifying Idle Cure as an arena-size pop rock band with an 80's accent of sax and keys. There's plenty of…Similar sounding releases
