Isle of View plays a style of pop punk that would have been huge ten years ago. It's too bad too, because they do it very well. Gentle Firefly Radio has great hooks that are very fun and catchy and a singer with a good voice (a rarity now a days). Although they're music is fun, it lasts any real longevity, loosing it's punch after repeated listens. Still Gentle Firefly Radio is fun.
There really aren't very many standout tracks, seeing as they're all extremely catchy and fun, but I'd say "Fall Asleep and Die" and "Tombstone" are two of the more memorable songs. The only other downside of the album is Gentle's rather cliche lyrics about girls and nihilism, similar to the likes of Offspring and MxPx, which isn't horrible, but not something praise worthy.
Isle of View is one of the more dated bands I've listened to lately, but they're fun sound and great riffs make up for it. Gentle Firefly Radio is a fun release and must have for fans of pop punk.
