Libby, Lesley, Brittany, Brandon and Chris are back with their follow-up to the Jump5 debut project. All the Time in the World has lots of potential: more energetic arrangements, excellent harmonies and solos from the performers, production from Mark Hammond and Dan Muckala, and very good songs. Listeners have certainly heard "Joyride" and "All I Can Do" all over the radio dial. And finally, the sound is immediately enticing. That's the end of the good news. As the listener may correctly surmise, this project sounds like a non-stop, candy-coated party that wears thin much faster than Jump5's first recording. "Joyride" doesn't seem to be the standout as "Spinnin' Around" is, and apart from one ballad-like piece, "Angel in My Heart," there is sparse variety in All the Time in the World. I'm certain the producers wanted Jump5 to step forward, but it's more of a side-step, or a sophomore slump that mirrors the sound of Raze. Put Jump5's vocals over "Always and Forever" or "That's the Way," and that sound is the gist of All the Time in the World. It is also important to note that this project is very short, just over 38 minutes, including three remixes of the hit songs. What I would like to hear from Jump5 is meatier musical arrangements closer to that of Plus One; this formula would do well for these young performers who are capable of producing top-notch pop music.
