Karlene Bartolo's musical ministry has turned her into a bit of a world traveler. Born in Jamaica where she made a name for herself with the Grace Thrillers, Bartolo launched her solo career in Canada. Now she works with choirs, other vocalists and worship teams all over North America, the Caribbean, and the United Kingdom. All this experience shows on her debut CD Father of Lights.
All ten tracks are written by Karlene and demonstrate her passion for the Lord and dedication to her ministry. Opener "Let Everyone Praise the Lord" is a funky contemporary invitation for us to enter into praise! "Holy Is Your Name" with keyboard washes turning to crashes lifts the Lord on high in a wonderful contemporary classical manner. The energetic "Glory To The King" has a majestic intro leading to a funked out beat that'll have you shouting!
Karlene has shared the stage with artists like Shirley Caesar, Mighty Clouds of Joy and Cece Winans and now lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband and two children.
