This is a super low down grungamassive disc that, while being up to date with the Orange 9mm chuggy guitar tones, still manages to be original. "Yellow & Black Attack" isn't a Stryper cover, but rather deals with the issue of infighting. Getting shot with "friendly fire" so to speak. As was Stryper & Amy Grant & etc. On the appropriately titled "Fighting Gravity" you'd almost swear this was the Galactic Cowboys with the monster low end & vocal harmonies. Likewise "The Weather" with its chanting ala Space In Your Face. The title song is a "deep" one about buying lemonade from an Elvis-looking guy & is quite Seattle. "Martin's Dream" is a cool song on racism with the chorus "We did not end division / we only moved the line" & the reason: "The rules came from top down / but didn't reach the heart." "Sprout" is a lullaby by main man Lyndon Perry with just his electric acoustic backed with rhythms by his in-utero baby's heartbeat. There's not a whole lot that sets Leaderdogs apart from the Tad / Soundgardens of today, but depending on your point of view, that could be good or bad.
