Just when you thought it was safe to settle back and become one of God's "chosen frozen" - here it comes, live from Pensacola, Florida - Lindell Cooley and the Brownsville Assembly worship team with another album filled with an eclectic praise and worship mix of the contemporary and the traditional.
The CD opens with "Lift Up Your Hands," based in part on Psalm 134:
Praise ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, Which by night stand in the house of the Lord... Lift up your hands, all ye people Lift up your hands and praise the Lord!
The Lord is my light and my salvation Whom then shall I fear? Shall I be afraid?
The implied answer, of course, is the constant message brought by angelic messengers throughout the Word of God: fear not.
The next song, "More Of Your Glory," was featured on the very first Brownsville album, but receives an energetic reworking here. Worship leader Lindell Cooley then leads the congregation in an impromptu version of "What A Friend We Have In Jesus," which leads into the old hymn of encouragement, "Leave It There," which encourages the listener to "take your burden to the Lord, and leave it there."
The remainder of the album is the same energetic praise and reverent worship that has been the hallmark of the Brownsville revival since its inception. Carman's "I've Been Delivered," and the old standard, "I'm So Glad Jesus Set Me Free," close the album on a high note, encouraging the listener to accept the freedom that is available through Jesus Christ.
