I feel really weird calling this album an underground gem, due to the fact that I believe all Christian music is underground in a sense. Let's use the term underground to define something new, fresh, innovative, and definitely nice! Raw Material jumps at you instantly with the exquisite lyrics being formed by the Manchild, and raw production and scratches of DJ Dust. The key to the blend is absolutely the voice, Gangstarr fans. This is the kind of music that challenges your mental, but still gets you hyped. Jump on the transporter device, meet you at the Red Planet, and pass the retina scan. After listening to Raw Material I can tell their mission is to save Earth and not the Christian rap game.

Mars ILL is one of those bands that makes you happy that it's finally being accepted. This release combines what is right about hip-hop; smooth lyrical flow, nice DJ work, and brilliant wordplay; to make an album that is pleasing to the hip-hop…Similar sounding releases
