This is almost a tale of two albums. On one hand, you have Terry McCabe, whose vocals are suited for light rock, at times like "Reckless"-era Bryan Adams or Hall & Oates. On the other, you have Diane McCabe, who performs '70s style acoustic, high-pitched songs suited to an older, adult contemporary centered audience. It becomes difficult at times to sense a real flow to
    the CD as a result.

"Not Religious" is a high point, with the song conveying exactly what could be expected from its title:

And there are those of you, who look at the church
And want to call it quits
You gotta put your faith in Christ
    Not all those hypocrites (no)

"Snow Mountain" could be the modern answer to Styx's "Snowblind" from the late '70s. It depicts a struggle of those attracted to various forms of cocaine. "She Saw Angels" is a spoken word piece, and "Seeking Shelter" seems to draw its inspiration from Bob Dylan. "Norman" is a tribute to Christian music pioneer Larry Norman, thanking him for inspiration, and excusing his eccentricities.

"My First Guitar" is the letdown among the "Terry" tunes. Somewhat choppy, and not quite in rhythm at points, it still paints a strong picture of the learning process in becoming a musician. The "Diane" tunes did little for me, with "Tomorrow's Children" possibly the bright spot among those.
