Out of France comes a hard-rockin' band for Jesus. All their lyrics are in their mother language. The music is pretty good. The last song, "Ceci est une priere (This Is a Prayer)," has a really beautiful melodic guitar throughout. The chorus is great (I can only tell because they sent me a lyric translation): "Jesus is calling you. Repent/ Jesus is calling you. Repent." The band lists Stryper, Bon Jovi and The Scorpions as their influences, which explains their melodic leanings. They never speed up too much, relying on a more mid-70's style of plodding bass lines and rhythms. The first song, "Papillon (Butterfly, Moth)," talks about each man having a soul. "Butterfly, moth, choose/ In a body of flesh and blood, of flesh and blood/ A soul lives in you, you don't know it." Overall, this collector's item has average music and production. Hopefully, we'll be hearing more from this band in the future. Please pray for them.
