Method of Control is the new project from former Betrayal bassist Jeff Lain, and singer Steven Urenda. This is a very low budget demo of industrial metal with '80s metal vocals and lyrics. Occasionally it reminds one of early NIN, with cheese sprinkled on top. By '80s lyrics I mean '80s thrash metal lyrics -- like comparing abortions to Nazi genocide, promoting youth firearm education, and warning against the influence of the media. There could be truth to their rants, but paranoid public radio topics don't for good lyrics make in 2001. Obviously, these two guys could create some intriguing musical experiments if given the money, but they shouldn't quit their day jobs yet.
