Often people have a cynical view of Christian music, especially Christian hip-hop. This album could definitely change many of those people's minds. Based on a true story, the vision is to be transparent so that the light will shine through. I can't decide which I like more about this CD, the original, right-on, and heartfelt lyrics, the smooth and flowing rhymes that speak the truth, or the jazzy riffs and awesome bass lines that make this the album if you want to groove.
Transparemcee is full of mixes that are diverse, from a reggae theme to "Godspell" lyrics. The quirky quotes between songs speak a message that this man of God is not afraid to share! Inside the CD are wild pictures that are colorful and contrasting. MG also gives a testimony for each song. This album has succeeded in its purpose of providing a transparent look into the MC's heart and soul for his God, his family, and for the lost.
"She asked me for a light so I began to shine. . ." The message to all of us is "Your last chance will always be right now." MG bares all in Transparemcee. "Sometimes I feel like I'm inches from heaven and seconds from hell." The originality and rhythm make this an album I would recommend to everyone.
