This band is so stinkin' great, and were easily the highlight of my Tomfest/Portico 2002 experience. Utilizing all kinds of articles and instruments, Mindhead reinvented music with a decidedly post modern mode and sound. Without divorcing themselves from melody, this adept group of artists will put you in the greatest mood — either drowning you in its aural experience or mindlessly soundtracking your moviesque existence in the background. You must hear their 2001 release, Things Here Are Fine; and make it a priority to see one of their avant-garde Northwest live performances.
