Nine is yet another Swedish metal band but less powerful compared to their northern European peers. They are more sluggish but more heartfelt than their peers as well. There isn't a whole lot of complexity within this band but to my surprise, it doesn't take away from them but adds to their sound. I don't have to hear a ten minute guitar solo and I can actually make out what the lead singer is trying to convey to their listeners. I'm not a huge metal fan and I am in no way saying that this is the best metal album of the year but it's not bad. With most metal bands, I find myself being bored but Nine does enough to break and switch it up and they kept my attention through the whole album.
