I've been in partial mourning over Training For Utopia's demise for some time now, but No One Wins has won loving affection once reserved for the now defunct TFU. Their EP, A Kiss That Killed the One We Love, begins with a short sound byte from Halloween 6, and then they preface their first song with, "I wrote this prayer for you . . ." And mayhem begins. You know that these guys have a big future ahead of them with comparisons that include Society's Finest, ZAO, Deftones, Living Sacrifice, and (of course) TFU. As calculated and precise as they are, it is surprising that they had been together less than 9 months when they recorded their EP. If this is any indication of what they have in store for us then we better hold on.
