Parousia's latest offering shows a lot of the band's potential. They remind me of a tame version of Racer X (secular LA band). The singer sounds a lot like Racer X's old singer, and the lead solos are just as fiery. One obstacle I have usually found in young bands is that the rhythm section has some loose ends. Unfortunately, no exceptions here. It seems the drummer contradicts what the music is trying to do. Rather than laying a more solid foundation with expressive fills, we get more of the "speed on by" approach. Anyway, enough! Overall, I enjoyed "The Coming". Thumbs up on this venture guys!
