As pastor of Florida's oldest Baptist church, Dr. Rudolph W. McKissick, Jr. and The Word and Worship Mass Choir has had a rich history of music which has been the focal point of the Bethel Baptist Institutional Church. For their debut project, Grammy-nominated Trod Sneed was brought in to produce this live recording with the usual praise and worship theme. It combines traditional church hymns and anthems with some contemporary songs including a little hip-hop. While the music seems a little thin in comparison to the real great mass choirs, it is still a nice debut.
