Modern rock with influences like Nirvana (songwriting dynamics of light and dark), Alice In Chains (cool effects on the lead vocals and BGV harmonies), and Foo Fighters (poppy hooks, but don't expect that kind of quality). I like the way the guitarists, Travis Wilson and Matt Holbrook, venture away from standard rhythms. The direction gets my attention, but the lead vocals and guitar tones let me down. If you have last issue's Hard Music Sampler CD, you can judge for yourself. A later recording (after the aptly-named Kenton's Basement Recording -- Bondage) shows progress.
