Most of you out there are probably not familiar with this cd. I think I'm one of the only people who has it because it is pretty rare. I got this along with Eternally Haunt and a mini cd called Scourge and Fire. This ep was actually released a year before Eternally Haunt and has 3 tracks called Zeer's vision, Sounds of Sorrow, and Have no Fear. Sound of Sorrow actually appears on Eternally Haunt. The thing that I really like about this cd is its sheer brutality. Some of that can be found on E.H., but this cd is faster, and has more of that high pitched screeching common to Possession. Even though E.H. has a lot of fast riffs and such, this cd is more consistent along the thrash vein without the slower interludes. Possession is a band all their own, and can't be compared to anyone, but any fan of thrash and death metal will like this.

I bought The Unnameable Suffering to sample, with the option to buy the full-length later. Okay, okay, after a few cleansing breaths and "putting it in…Heaven's Metal #50Reviewed by Doug Van PeltThese guys shred! The vocals of Nyk E. go off the Richter scale a few times -- to the detriment of the song, but most of the time they're fine growls. The musicians are smokin' hot, though, through and through. There's tight guitar playing with skilled leads and a…Heaven's Metal #49Reviewed by Doug Van PeltThese guys shred!
