I really dig the growth and direction of this band. They mix a hardcore edge and energy with industrial. The samples sound sort of clean and the band rips thru several time changes, but the overall production sonics stink. With the live experience the band is currently getting, we're sure to hear some high-quality production from Primary Censor.

The guitar tone of Matt Wright is a decent crunch. Too bad it's relatively buried in the mix. The best stuff we hear is the fast and frenzied drumming by Stuart Lillard. Eric Shirey's vocals are distorted, yet too low in the mix at times also.

This tape shows growth and tons of attitude, especially in tunes like "Artificial Heart," but this ain't the tape that represents their best side. To order, send $4 to: Eric Shirey, 7905 San Felipe #254, Austin TX 78729.
