Tell me your thoughts.
Tell me your dreams.
Tell me your deepest darkest fears.
Rackets and Drapes can take those and put them to music, and you thought it was all in your head! Although this is still just the demo tape for the CD that comes out on June 27th, and will be available at Cornerstone, (BTW: I hope you all will be in the Dance Tent on Wednesday night, R&D will be there and will be scaring anyone who's interested in "that" kinda thing) This is a four song cassette with the song that everyone is raving about, "Milk and Cookies".
Rackets and Drapes have a goal in life to help those who can't help themselves, i.e. little children, the unborn, and anyone else who might be helpless at the time! A lot of the songs on this cassette are about child abuse, and the harm it does. (Love With a Fist, Milk and Cookies) These are very real fears that way too many of us know about. Tim Haase deals with them in the songs he writes and offers an answer to the questions that are posed, far too often!
As for the music style, take your worst nightmare and put it to music. The vocal lines are VERY intense, with good guitar lines and driving bass, provided by R&D's bass man extraordinaire, Paul Spomer. The quality of this recording is a little low, as with a lot of cassette demos, but the songs really speak for themselves! Don't listen to this one alone and in the dark. Tim's vocals range from a low whisper to a scream in less than a measure's time, and the effect is great!
If you get a chance to see them Live at either Cornerstone, or if they come to your town, for your own sake don't miss it! The live performance is amazing! Tim's heart for God will really show through!
