If you buy one hip-hop album this year besides Cross Movement's House of Representatives, make it Prepare 4 tha Spillage by Raiderz of the Lost. The intro lets you know right from the get-go that Raiderz are prepared to take the hip-hop community, if not the world, by storm. "Raiderz Anthem" starts off with a military theme featuring an army of MCs. With a nice R&B chorus, these men are gonna march into the enemy's camp and straight rip it up. Using the sample of marching as the beat throughout the song is straight innovative.
"Frontline Soldier" is a call to war. This could be the battle hymn for holy hip-hop. Being a soldier doesn't necessarily mean you will ever make it to The Source or BET. It is all about 2 Tim 2:3. The skills of Raiderz' Messenger are showcased on this song, but as with Cross Movement, it is all done with complete edification. This is the stuff. There are a few crews who fully inject Christ into hip-hop, and Raiderz is one of them.
"Code of Honor" is one of the hottest tracks - straight blazing. So many things are relative today. We need to recognize Christ and his code of honor.
Matthew Abraham and the Raiderz of the Lost have been working on this project for about two years. Though they've faced trials of many kinds, God has blessed and, as Messenger says, it was all God's timing. God is using Christian rap to do a "new thing" more radical than Toby could have imagined back in the 9-0. Just look at what's going on with Gotee Records and Grits. I believe He is gonna do the same with Raiderz.
