The first thing I think of when I heard the vocals of Bill Menchen is the songs that Ace Frehley sang in his Kiss days. Rev. Seven's style is that of early to mid 80's metal, a la Ozzy Osbourne. Since I grew up with that style, I really enjoyed it. From "Sabbath Breaker" to "Fire," this tape had my foot tapping so hard, I thought I would put a hole in the floor. The production is really good, so I had no problem turning this puppy up quite loud.
If you're into the current hardcore or death metal trend, you might think this tape is too wimpy, but those old Kiss or Motley Crue fans will eat this up.
