Having spent a good deal of time thinking of a constructive way to critique Side Walk Slam's sophomore release, my creative palette is left dry. If cultural imperialists equate rock music with junk food, then this release is as unnourishing as they get. Typical pop-punk rhythms, walls of power chords and a few harmonies, loosely tied together by some irrelevant bargain bucket melodies. Every song is interchangeable, and nothing stands out. This release has nothing to match the compelling songs that make the most recent Slick Shoes album so enjoyable. An unnecessary addition to the Tooth & Nail catalogue, which is already awash in mediocre pop-punk.
