From Chicago, Spitalfield has been around since 1998. This is their Victory records debut.
The first song, "Those Days You Felt Alive," made me think something good was happening here but most of the following tracks were basically slightly more aggressive clones of the New Found Glory sound. Occasionally an interesting part of a song would force its way out, but the evil hands of generic pop would hold it back. This isn't meant to address NFG, but Spitalfield obviously has some talent in the song writing department (as evidenced by songs like "In the Same Lifetime") so they should run with it instead of being led into a mold.
