Squint Entertainment's latest addition to their roster, Strange Celebrity, just released their debut album Remedy on June 10th, 2003. While it's a pretty good album all of the way through, it might not necessarily be everyone's cup of tea...
Hailing from Nashville, TN, the four guys in Strange Celebrity bring forth an album with a mix of rock tracks and slower ballads. While it's definitely not hard or aggressive rock by any means, I wouldn't go as far as saying it's more of a pop album either. It's got a good balance of both harder and lighter moments, making it a rock album for most to enjoy.
The band does not too bad of a job either when you look at the album from a lyrical viewpoint. Though focusing mostly on relationships (both good and bad), frontman Luke Brown says it's not all about love relationships, but some songs "could also be something human, spiritual, or just a relationship of thought." So I guess it just depends on which way you want to look at them.
Nonetheless, Remedy is a pretty solid album overall for the band's debut project. If you enjoy rock music, consider checking these guys out.
