Alright, I'm a white boy, I can review a white girl's pop/dance/soul album. Besides one of my all time fave lp's is S.O.S.'s Sands Of Time & I hear alot of that type of influence behind the dance beats. Ya, it's a bit contemporary. Tammy's mentor is Amy Grant & she's good friends with Pam Thum, whom she duets with on the Pam penned "Starting To Believe". Tammy's desire is to pour out her heart to you, her friends, because she believes God has filled her to overflowing with His love and the gift of some smooth & soulful music. James Taylor's "You've Got A Friend" is funked up nicely. Tammy says "Coming from a broken home ... my dad would often sing ... all you've got to do is call, you've got a dad". And she applies it also to her Heavenly Father. "Someone 2 Love" tells of true love. Drac Rodney Gibson raps, "baby don't look at me ... Jesus is the Someone 2 love". I'd love to hear more use of the (electric?) violin, as in "Supposed to Be". I've gotta put some subs in da back o' the Impala. Da bass is a bumpin'! Ah, ya, Tammy you got it goin on Girl.
