A Coming Storm has arrived and progressed to the point where we are in the Eye of the Storm. This turbulent Tempest has kicked up a lot of dirt and has created change. Change. This is what has happened to Tempest, or should I say Bon Jovi? Bon Jovi? That's right. The new Tempest album is melodic metal full of commercial hooks and dry vocals a la John Bon Jovi...and throw in White Lion and Guns 'n' Roses too. "Good-bye" is a great ballad, sounding like "When the Children Cry" by White Lion. I'm not kidding here, I mean it. There's some nice acoustic guitar picking here, along with some ebbing keyboards and emotion-packed guitar leads. J.R. Rowe has done some intensive practice on his voice and it has paid off. "True Love", "Goin' Nowhere", and "All for One" are standout cuts. Here's some fun, Mid-western metal with raw passion and grit. It's definitely a different Tempest than their previous album let us hear. Buy it and you won't believe your ears. This album should increase their audience by leaps and bounds.
