Tennessee's The Roosevelts have actually been around for a while, especially in the indie scene around Nashville. After two solid releases, one of which saw national distribution, The Roosevelts have burst back onto the scene with their third release, It's So Hard to Make a Sound. With their past releases, The Roosevelts have aligned themselves with a sound close to The Huntingtons or The Ramones, just with a pop edge. With It's So Hard to Make a Sound, the band's sound has matured greatly. Ditching almost any nod to the punk-pop genre, The Roosevelts have picked up a straight ahead rock sound, giving sonic acknowledgments to Weezer or The Cars. Still, even with a new sound, there still isn't enough of a change to set themselves apart from the rest of the crowd. Hopefully this new sound will catch more ears with a new national distribution deal.
