Three Nails
Peace

Here's some very cool hardcore-ish punk that brings back memories of early Crucified material--only not as intensely driving. These guys may fit nicer into a category with The Lead, Blairing Out and pre-signed One Bad Pig. The lyrics are witty, like "Sex Sells": "Sex sells that, sex sells this/ Sex sells anything, and it's making me sick;" and the lyrics are sobering, like "I Am": "I am the man that mocked you/ I am the man that doubted you/ I am the soldier that crowned you/ I am the soldier that struck you/ I am the soldier that nailed you to the cross/ I am the man you lived for/ I am the man you died for..." The title track to this nine-song offering, "Peace," makes a gut-wrenching plea for the peace that passes understanding. Overall, this is a fun, articulate post-punk tape that's a gas to hear. Fans of Nobody Special and Sanctified Noise oughta love it. For ordering info, write: PO Box 501035, Indianapolis IN 46250.
